Our storytime this week was all about “love” and how to share our love with others as we learned in the book “Pigs in Love” by Teddy Slater. The kids enjoyed messy bubble paint crafts and a good snack. Our next preschool storytime is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21st from 9:30-10:30. Join us and listen to some wonderful stories and make a craft to bring home. Please let us know prior to the storytime at 376-3223 if your child will be attending.
The book club met on Tuesday, February 7. They picked for their March read “The Choice” by Nicholas Sparks. They will meet again on Tuesday, March 13 at 1:30. If you happen to have an extra copy of the book of the month and would like to donate it to the library for our book club it would be greatly appreciated. It is not too late to join us. Please feel free to call us with any questions.
The Spring City Wide Garage Sales will be held the weekend of April 27 and 28. The Friends of the Library will sponsoring and will be distributed maps around town. The cost will be $10 to be on the map with your location and description of your sale. We thought we would give you some advance notice so you can have plenty of time to clean out the garage, closets, or any other nooks and crannies. Use this to make some extra cash or to find a great bargain or both!
Stop by and check out our selection of excellent books for sale. LOTS of new books have been added. Hardback books are $3.00 and under. Paperback books are 75¢ and under. Also check out the shelf of free books. Books are added often. Books whether new or used make great gifts anytime of the year.
The Library will be looking for a couple new board members in June. The position will be opening up in June. If you are interested you can pick up an application at the library or at City Hall.
The Library Board will hold their monthly meeting on February 16 at 4:30.
The Library will be closed February 20 in observance of President’s Day.
